very humble greeting from me to those who are doing sightseeing at my blog.
Today, i would like to share some of my experiences during my working time. I
have been working at Mcdonald's Kluang, Johor about 5 month since I have
done my SPM until I get offered to further my study at Matriculation College.
For the first time I'm working, I feel a little bit nervous because I had no
experience about the work. First day I’m working, I have been trained by the
manager how to prepare order from the customers.
There are lots of things that I have learnt during I'm working. As a cashier, I
met a lot of people. Seriously, I admit that it is not easy to communicate with
other people who are not in the same race with us. Why I'm saying like that? It
is because I met the customer who was very fussy and it needs a lot of patience
to communicate with them. During that time, I felt like I want to stop from the
work and continue my study as soon as possible. Besides that, I also had been
asked by manager to put on some make up on my face. Again, that is the hardest
thing for me as I do not like to touch up my face with any make up. But as a
worker, I respect the manager. I put on some lipstick and blusher only when my
big boss (Manager from other company) come to evaluate the restaurant.
The schedule work time is not fixed. We have to look the schedule everyday to
know the shifting time. Usually, I got the shift on lunch time or dinner time.
The time for work is about 8 hours per day and one day off. There is also shift
late night which starts from 12.00 a.m until 7.00 a.m. Whoever work on late
night shift have to clean up and wash all the apparatus that are used for cook.
For cashiers, they need to wash the ice cream machine, water trace, and clean the
floor with antibacterial detergent. I had work on that shift once and it was
the experience that I will never forget. I fell into the floor while I'm washing
the ice cream's machine. During that time, there were costumers came and they
were shocked when they saw that incident. My manager come and help me to take
order from the customers and I was asked to take some rest. He then helped to
finish my work to clean up the machine.

That
is my first experience in working about four years ago. When I think back, this
experience actually is very valuable for me as I wish to be a teacher who will
meet many kind of students. It teaches me how to communicate with different
people from different races, culture and also variety ages. I’m also happy with
this past experiences of mine which I will keep it in my memory forever.
