Assalamualaikum…
First of
all, I would like to thank Encik Azmi Ibrahim for his patience and guidance in
widening my knowledge regarding to the ICT in Science.
This lecture session is quite interesting and the lecturer give us clear
information which lead the students more pay attention on the lecture.
Truthfully, this is my very first time creating a blog for myself and at the
starting of it, I must say that I got no clues on what is going on with this
blog.
I
got no idea on how to design blog,
how to put templates in it, how to
customize the blog and even a simple thing such as changing the front. So, I'm a bit frustrated at the
very first time handling my very own blog. But after going through the session
in lab and asking a few of my
colleagues, I finally managed to handle
this blog. It is pretty easy once you got the idea on how to handle the blog,
and the very best part about the blog is that I am able to freely write down
and share my own opinion or maybe some educational stuff in this blog.
Besides
that, through this course, I also learn how to edit pictures by using Paint and
how to make a video by using Windows Movie Maker. Although I face quite a
lot of failure in producing the video and it takes me quite a long time in
developing my video, but I really interested
and enjoy it during explore the Movie Maker.
This
course also get me to know about what is simulation, modeling, data logging
system and also their importance in teaching and learning. Through these ICT
applications, students will be able to see clearly and understand more about
their study. Simulation is very interesting because we are able to explore
something that we unable to do in traditional classroom.
Other than that, I also learn
about engage, empower and enhance. In the step of engaging students, teacher
will elicit students’ ideas based on a specific topic or concept. In the step
of empower, teacher will facilitate the students in the construction of
scientific ideas or concepts. In enhancing student’s understanding, teacher can
guide the students in reflecting their own ideas by giving some examples to
enhance their knowledge in certain scientific ideas or concepts.
Lastly,
I would like to say that I am very happy to have this course because all the
things that I have learnt from this course Information and Communication
Technology in Science was very useful for me as a future teacher. There is a
lot of new knowledge that I gained from this course.
